THE DALBY Leagues Club name will be going across Queensland, as the club name has been branded on millions of beer cans.
In the lead up to this year's State of Origin Rugby League series, beer manufacturer XXXX has designed promotional cans supporting the Queensland team.
Each letter in the word Queenslander has a Rugby League club in Queensland associated with it.
The Dalby Diehards have been honoured on these cans by being associated with the letter 'D' that will be distributed state-wide.
President of the Dalby Diehards Rugby League Club, Tom Kelly, said the best thing about the promotion is that the town will benefit from it.
"The town of Dalby is the big winner out of this,” Mr Kelly said.
Being a part of two of the best products to ever come out of Queensland, (XXXX and State of Origin) is a really big deal.”
Duty manager supervisor of the Dalby Leagues Club, Nathan Marshall, said the publicity will do wonders for the club both on and off the field. "Everyone comes off really well out of this from the team on the field to the leagues club off the field,” Mr Marshall said.
"To know that North Queenslander's are drinking cans with Dalby on it is awesome.” 11 other Rugby League clubs across the state will be recognised in the promotion.
Marketing Manager of XXXX, Richard Knight, said it was a way of celebrating local clubs that have produced many great players.
"It's these local Queensland footy clubs who've taught the legends of the game how to be great and we thought it fitting to recognise their support,” Mr Knight said.
