Dalby pet owners will have something to celebrate now a new family owned veterinary surgery has opened its doors.

Bottle Tree Vets located at 33a Archibald St will provide quality care for Dalby’s fury friends with a key focus on trust, community and exceptional service.

Owner Lauren McCormick celebrated the business opening on Saturday and said it was a dream come true to open her own veterinary clinic.

“It's really exciting, I’m excited to be able to look after Dalby’s pets again, it's always been a dream of mine to open a clinic, it really feels like a dream come true,” she said.

“I always wanted to be a vet ever since I was little girl, I went to uni up at James Cook in Townsville before I ventured to Warwick and worked at a practice for three years.

“We came out to Dalby for my husband’s work and we’ve set some roots here and started a family. In the interim I've been working casually in Toowoomba and now we are at the stage where we are ready to take on this new venture and start up our own family focused vet clinic.”

Dr McCormick said they hosted an opening day from 10am to 2pm on Saturday to allow the community to meet the team and tour the centre with more than 100 people in attendance.

“We are a small animal general practice focusing mainly on dogs, cats and small critters,” she said.

“People came through to check out the brand new facility, which has been custom fit out with all of the latest equipment to make your pets as safe and as cared for possible, it’s a lovely big building with plenty of space and I’d love for people to come through and see it.

“They were also able to meet our staff.

“We set up demos of some of the services we are providing, we had activities for the kids, lucky door prizes, a free sausage sizzle, and coffee and doughnut van.”

Dr McCormick said she wanted her centre to have a strong family focus.

“I have always loved the idea of bringing a vet clinic that is much more accommodating for families, both for the staff and clients,” she said.

“I feel there is a big shift needed in the vet world steering away from the traditional model to a more flexible family focused model.

“The team are mostly part-time and are mostly mothers so we are accommodating so they can work around their own family commitments.”

Dr McCormick said they would be delivering a high level of customer service and looked forward to officially opening their doors.

“We really want to bring an exceptional level of customer and veterinary service to Dalby where people can trust we will look after their pets like they were our own,” she said.

“I feel customer service is such a big part of any business so I really strive to make sure we are proving a fantastic level of customer service to our clients.

“Our three pillars are trust, community and being exceptional.”
