A cyclist has died after crashing into a truck in Logan this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Wembley Rd near the Station Rd intersection at Logan Central just after midday on Monday after a cyclist and a truck collided.

Paramedics tried to save the critically injured cyclist, a local woman aged in her 40s, but she died at the scene.

The truck driver was uninjured.
Police have asked any witnesses or drivers with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

It comes as emergency services were called to another crash in Oxenford at 12.30pm where paramedics including high acuity response treated two patients on Old Pacific Highway.

It’s understood both patients were on a motorbike when it collided with a car.

A woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.
