POLICE believe one of 68 motorists captured on CCTV may hold the clue to cracking the unsolved murder of Toyah Cordingley.
Homicide investigators are working to identify potential witnesses who were travelling through the area on the day the 24-year-old was killed at Wangetti Beach, north of Cairns on Sunday October 21.

Detectives today launched a fresh appeal to help identify drivers of 68 vehicles captured on CCTV travelling south on the Captain Cook Highway near Clifton Beach about 5pm that day.
“We are continuing to work around the clock on this case,’’ Detective Inspector Sonia Smith said.
“And are processing hundreds of pieces of information with many vehicles in the area already identified.”
Officers released a list of 68 vehicles they are yet to identify.
The vehicles, including motorcycles, cars and trucks, were captured travelling south on the Captain Cook Highway near Clifton Road between 5.02pm and 5.07pm.
Detectives believe the drivers of these vehicles may hold information relevant to the homicide investigation.
“The investigation team is now appealing for the drivers of these vehicles to come forward and register their details with police so we can speak to them as part of our inquires and expand our list of potential witnesses in the area.”
Ms Cordingley went to walk her dog and was reported missing around 10.50pm on October 21 before her body was located around 7.45am the following day at Wangetti Beach.
Motorists who recognise their vehicle in the footage should call Policelink on 131 444 and register their details, quoting the vehicle reference next to the vehicle.
