Mother accused of murdering two of her adult children

Maree Crabtree was in January charged with the murder of Jonathan and Erin following a complex police investigation across several states.

She was also charged with the grievous bodily harm and torture of a 25-year-old woman and several offences relating to frauds of large amounts of money.

Crabtree is accused of forcing the children to take prescription medication and portraying their deaths as suicides as she claimed life insurance payouts worth about $1 million.
