PROSECUTORS have requested additional time to build the brief of evidence against a Queensland mother accused of murdering her children.
Maree Crabtree, 51, is accused of poisoning her disabled children Erin, 18, and Jonathan, 26.
Erin was found dead in 2012. Jonathan was found dead last year.
In the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning, it was heard that the brief of evidence is expected to be presented to the defence on April 13.
The matter will return to court on April 23, but Crabtree’s appearance is not required.
Maree Crabtree was in January charged with the murder of Jonathan and Erin following a complex police investigation across several states.
She was also charged with the grievous bodily harm and torture of a 25-year-old woman and several offences relating to frauds of large amounts of money.
Crabtree is accused of forcing the children to take prescription medication and portraying their deaths as suicides as she claimed life insurance payouts worth about $1 million.
