A BRISBANE mum who relentlessly stalked two women for nearly seven months has been jailed for more than a year.
Haidi Cher Healey, 40, used weapons including a knife and her own car to deliberately stalk and threaten the two women with violence “for no real reason”.
In one of a dozen incidents outlined in court, Healey mouthed the words “you’re fucked” as she ran her index finger along her throat, before ramming her car into the woman’s car.
Healey also followed the women to a shopping centre and slashed their car tyres with a knife then later spraypainted one of the victim’s homes with abuse.
During Healey’s sentencing hearing on Friday, Brisbane District Court was told she may have stalked woman Natalie Smith out of a misguided sense of loyalty for friend David White, who had split from Smith.
In sentencing her to 15 months’ prison, Judge Brad Farr said Healey had failed to explain to the court why she stalked the women, including slashing one woman’s tyres and ramming her car.
Prosecutor Susan Hedge told the court the two victims — Smith and friend Kelly Marriot — were not Healey’s friends.
Smith was living with her two children when her home was spraypainted with the word “c---” and her fence was painted with the word “s---”.
Healey stalked Smith for nearly seven months in 2015, and then targeted Marriot for 5 ½ months until she was arrested in September 2015.
Healey sent text messages saying “you can run but you cant hide, you are a pathetic excuse for a human being” and “you are one f----- up bitch”, threatening to report the woman to Centrelink for fraud.
Healey also packaged dog faeces in a mail parcel for one of the women.
Judge Farr found Healey knew she was breaking the law because she removed the registration plates from her car when she used it to ram the car.
Ms Hedge told the court Marriot was “very scared” of being stabbed so set up security cameras around her home.
Healey pleaded guilty to two charges of stalking with threats of violence and two charges of wilful damage.
She must serve at least three months in jail before she is eligible for parole.
