THE death of Deagon man Jeremy “Jerra” Turner — whose body was allegedly dumped on the edge of a park near his home — is no longer considered suspicious.
But a 42-year-old Brighton man has faced court charged with misconduct with a corpse and drug offences over the incident.
Mr Turner’s body was discovered on Barfoot St, Bracken Ridge, early on the morning of June 1.
Police established a crime scene and evidence was collected by forensic offenders.
But a post mortem examination and the results of toxicology tests led police to determine Mr Turner’s death is “non-suspicious”.
The Brighton man appeared in Sandgate Magistrates Court yesterday charged with misconduct with a corpse, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils or pipes that have been used.
A close friend previously told The Courier-Mail Mr Turner was a loving and loyal father.
“He was so lost in life but the loyalty and love he had no one will ever match,” the friend said.
“He loves his kids so much.
“It’s so shocking and I won’t ever be able to deal and believe it.”
