THE Gold Coast boss of the Hells Angels bikie gang has been charged over the brutal bashing of a man at a Glitter Strip pub.
Gregory Pearce, 45, was arrested today by officers from anti-bikie squad Taskforce Maxima for the serious assault of another man, aged 42, at the Palm Beach Hotel last Saturday.
Police said they were called to the pub following a confrontation between a patron of the hotel and three men around 12pm.

“It is alleged the victim was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked and punched until he lost consciousness,” police said in a statement.
“It will be alleged the victim and (accused) were known to each other. It will be further alleged the 45-year-old man arrested today is the President of the Gold Coast Chapter of the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.”
Pearce was charged today with affray and was taken to the Southport Watchhouse where bail has been refused, pending a court appearance tomorrow morning.
Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
“This level of violence has no place in our community and strengthens the unwavering commitment of Taskforce Maxima to continue our pursuit of members of outlaw motorcycle gangs,” said Detective Inspector Glen Donaldson of the Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad.
“The QPS will continue to use every legal mechanism available to dismantle and disrupt (bikie gangs) in this State.”
