Crash causes huge CBD delays

A multi-vehicle crash on the Riverside Expressway caused huge traffic delays for drivers heading into Brisbane Sunday afternoon.

A crash on the Riverside Expressway caused delays up to 40 minutes heading into Brisbane City Sunday afternoon.

The four-car crash happened on the Captain Cook Bridge about 2pm and blocked at least two northbound lanes.

At 2.50pm traffic was backed up to Stones Corner with delays of 41 minutes expected for cars travelling on the M3.

There were no serious injuries however emergency services were still on scene to direct traffic at 2.50pm.

The crash site was cleared about 3pm but delays remained. These were cleared by 3.30pm.

Three patients were taken to hospital in stable conditions following the four-vehicle crash.
