Crash at Burpengary, lane closed on Bruce Highway

Motorists on their morning commute have faced long delays on the Bruce Highway north of Brisbane after a single-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes.
Emergency Services rushed to the Bruce Highway southbound near Burpengary about 6.40am after the crash, with paramedics treating one patient.
An elderly man was taken to Redcliffe Hospital in a serious condition. It is understood the crash happened due to a medical episode behind the wheel and the man did not sustain any injuries from the crash.
One lane on the Bruce Highway southbound near Arthur Drewett Drive was closed due to the crash, and by 7.20am, traffic was queued six kilometres back to Bribie Island Road.
By 7.45am, traffic had begun to clear, but there were still a few residual delays.
