The three main candidates for Brisbane Mayor have clashed in a heated debate that covered everything from bins to the 2032 Olympics, with one certainty emerging - rates will increase.

In the hot seats were incumbent LNP Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, Labor candidate Tracey Price, and Greens candidate Jonathan Sriranganathan.

Each candidate had an opportunity to speak, ask their opponents questions, and answer questions from journalists.

Independent candidates Bruce Tanti and Gilbert Holmes, as well as Legalise Cannabis Party candidate Clive Brazier were not present.
