UPDATE: Authorities have reinstated toll charges on the Go Between Bridge earlier than expected after a crash was cleared and congestion eased on a nearby road.

The Department of Transport and Roads released a statement about 10am saying motorists could travel across the bridge toll free until mid-day due to a truck and motorbike crash which closed parts of Coronation Drive.

However, tolls were reinstated before 11.30am as the crash was cleared earlier than expected.

EARLIER: One of Brisbane’s busiest roads has reopened after being closed earlier this morning due to a crash, however, motorists can still use a nearby toll road at no charge until mid-day.

Part of Coronation drive was closed after an accident involving a truck and motorbike about 9.15am at the Hale Street intersection.

The Department of Transport and Roads released a statement saying motorists wouldn’t be charged to travel on the Go Between Bridge until mid-day to reduce congestion.

Queensland Ambulance says a 30-year-old man was hurt in the crash and has been taken to hospital in a stable condition.
