Cleveland motorcycle crash leaves man with serious head injuries

A man has suffered serious head injuries after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at a busy Cleveland intersection.

A motorcyclist has been left in a serious condition after a crash in Cleveland that shut down a busy intersection.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a serious crash at in the intersection of Gordon Shore Streets 10.20am Saturday where a motorbike had collided with a car.

Paramedics, including critical care, transported the man in a serious condition to Princess Alexandra hospital where he will be treated for head injuries.

Police are now diverting traffic from the area and have asked motorists to find another route.

The incident has caused delays of up to 10 minutes.
