Teens charged after week-long crime spree

Five teenage boys have been caught and charged, after stealing cars and breaking in to homes across the southwest.

YOUTHS from Cunnamulla to Toowoomba have been charged with a variety of offences, following a week-long crime spree which stretched across the southwest.

From November 10 to 17, five boys aged between 14 and 16 stole cars in Chinchilla, and broke in to homes, vehicles and businesses in Cunnamulla.

Investigations have resulted in 21 charges being laid against them

A 15-year-old Toowoomba boy and a 16-year-old Toowoomba boy have been charged with receiving tainted property and enter premises offences.

A 16-year-old Tara boy has been charged with burglary, enter premises, receiving tainted property and contravening a requirement.

A 14-year-old Cunnamulla boy has been charged with enter premises, receiving tainted property, trespass and obstructing a police officer.

A 15-year-old Cunnamulla boy has been charged with 4 counts of enter premise, 2 counts of receiving tainted property and contravening a direction.

All five boys will be dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
