Police arrest four teenagers after highway pursuit

UPDATE: Four juveniles have been arrested northeast of Miles following a Police chase along the Warrego Highway this afternoon.
One 14-year-old has been formerly charged with multiple offences including unlawful operation of a motor vehicle while the other three teenagers are currently in Police custody.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the vehicle was a white Honda Civic reportedly stolen from Willow Glen retirement village in Kearneys Spring, Toowoomba.
Police managed to detain three teenagers after deploying stingers near Columboola, 24 kilometres northeast of Miles this afternoon.
Three teenagers allegedly fled the vehicle, heading for bush land before Police managed to arrest them.
EARLIER: Queensland Police Services have confirmed Western Downs authorities are currently in pursuit of a stolen vehicle last sighted on Kerwicks Road, off of the Warrego Hwy near Miles earlier today.
Miles Police have issued a warning to residents not to pick up any hitch hikers or allow anyone into your house to use a telephone.
They are also warning residents in the area not to stop and offer anyone a lift back into town.
