Millmerran man, 64, tragically killed in horror crash on Leichhardt Hwy south of Miles

Police have released new details of the horror crash on the Leichhardt Highway that killed a Millmerran man and left a 22-year-old Northern Territory man with serious injuries.

Police have confirmed the person killed in a head-on crash south of Miles was a 64-year-old Millmerran man.

Initial investigations reveal just after 5pm on Sunday, a Toyota HiLux and a Toyota Prado collided head-on on the Leichhardt Highway, near the intersection with Roxborough Road.

The Millmerran man died at the scene.

The passenger of the Prado, a 59-year-old Millmerran woman, was flown to hospital with serious injuries to her back and shoulder.

The driver and sole occupant of the HiLux, a 22-year-old Fannie Bay man, was flown to hospital with serious injuries.

Anyone with information that may be able to assist police with ongoing investigations is urged to come forward.
