A teenage boy has been flown to hospital after a horrific workplace tragedy involving machinery on the Western Downs.
Crews were called to the Taylor street business just after 2pm after a man was trapped between a truck tray and the vehicles chassis, according to a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman.
The teenager sustained severe injuries to his chest and head and was flown to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
Crews were able to remove the child from the truck just before 2.30pm.
Paramedics continued to treat him for some time before he was able to be flown to hospital.
EARLIER: Emergency crews rushed to a Taylor Street business in Chinchilla, on the Western Downs, after a man was trapped under a truck.
The alarm was raised just after 2pm, with a Queensland Ambulance spokesman confirming crews rushed to reports a truck bed has fallen on a patient.
Fire crews are also at the site on Taylor St, with a spokesman confirming they were called to reports of a vehicle falling on a person.
It is understood the man is trapped between a truck tray and its chassis.
