Moonie Highway crash: Rescue helicopter called to serious rollover near Moonie

A 48-year-old woman has died and three patients, including two primary school-aged boys, have been flown to hospital following a serious rollover west of Toowoomba.

A woman has died in a serious rollover along the Moonie Highway on the Western Downs, which involved two young boys and a man.

The 48-year-old woman from Dalyellup, Western Australia died after a white Mitsubishi utility reportedly rolled about 8.50am 20km west of Moonie after the driver swerved to avoid wildlife.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said three stable patients were flown to Toowoomba Hospital following the crash.

She said a 46-year-old man suffered neck pain and serious back injuries, while the primary school-aged boys were treated for minor lacerations.

The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for any witnesses, or those with dashcam footage, to contact police.
