AUDIENCES left with a smile on Saturday night after students from the Southern Star Academy of Dance performed for the first time in Chinchilla.
Circus-themed costumes and music set the scene for the 'Under the Big Top' event, with dancers performing everything from ballet to acrobatics, hip hop, jazz, tap and contemporary.
Dance teacher Brianna Celledoni said overall the teachers were very impressed with the performance of all the students.
"They worked really hard to put a professional production on stage,” Miss Celledoni said.
"The kids really enjoyed being on stage, wearing costumes and performing under stage lights.
"We were really happy with the turn out from our families and the community who came along to support our concert.
"We are super excited to be dancing again next year and look forward to bringing new opportunities to our students offering ATOD Dance exams and ATOD performance competitions.”
