Chinchilla juveniles charged with multiple offences

CHINCHILLA Police have charged a group of three juvenile males alleged to have stolen a motorbike from the rear tray of a four-wheel drive vehicle parked on Middle Street last week.
Police were alerted to the group's activities at approximately 8pm on Thursday, June 20 and immediately commenced patrols for the juveniles and at the time but were unable to locate them.
Police located and seized the alleged stolen motorbike within 15 minutes of the motorbike being stolen.
The owner was advised and later reunited with his stolen motorbike at Chinchilla Police Station.
Police reviewed CCTV footage from the Chinchilla City Safe Camera network that has confirmed the identity of the juveniles alleged to be involved with the offences.
During routine traffic patrols of Chinchilla police observed a number of juveniles at a fast food restaurant where police then located, arrested and transported the alleged offenders to Chinchilla Police Station.
Police will allege that the juvenile offenders committed a raft of offences including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, drug offences and offences under the Weapons Act.
They will be dealt with according to the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
