A child has been seriously hurt after being struck by a car north of Brisbane.
The child was taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a serious condition with head, facial, pelvic and leg injuries after he and a man in his 30s were struck by a car while riding bicycles on Griffith Road, Scarborough, just after 3pm.
The man was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition after he suffered a minor arm injury.
It comes after a woman was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition after a crash near Kilcoy in the Somerset region.
Critical care paramedics were dispatched to the scene on Neurum Rd, Glenfern, about 1pm after a car rolled down an embankment.
The woman suffered injuries to her head, shoulder, chest and hips.
In Brisbane, a patient was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition following a single-vehicle rollover on Payne Rd, The Gap at 1.52pm.
And in the state’s Far North, an elderly woman suffered serious injuries after a two cars collided head-on near Lake Eacham, east of Atherton, about 12.30pm.
The woman suffered head and chest injuries and was taken to Atherton Hospital.
A teenager with minor injuries and a baby who suffered bruises had also been taken to hospital, Queensland Ambulance Service said.
The road was closed in both directions as police crews assisted with traffic control.
