IN A shocking family dispute at St George, police allege a man threatened to kill himself and his child as he enters their home and violently abuses them.

POLICE are at the scene of a shocking incident in St George where a man has allegedly threatened to kill himself and his child.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman confirmed that they had received reports a man entered the house and started violently abusing his daughter as her mother called triple-0 at around 11.15am on September 14.

The Western Star believes the violent confrontation could be heard on the other end of the triple-0 call.

"Looks like it's all under control," the police spokesman said.
