VOLVO has added a turbocharged petrol engine option to its XC70 wagon range.
Powered by a six-cylinder, 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and retailing from $64,990, the XC70 T6 produces 224kW at 5600rpm and 440Nm between 2100-4200rpm.
Volvo's fuel economy on the combined cycle is 10.5 litres per 100km.
Pricing for the other variants, the 3.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and the D5 turbo-diesel remains the same.
Volvo's City Safety collision avoidance technology - the functionality which can automatically avoid crashes or reduce their severity - has also been upgraded for MY13, and now works up to speeds of 50kmh.
Other changes for the MY13 XC70 include an updated camera as part of the Collision Warning with Full Autobrake and Pedestrian Detection system, revised number graphics for the badging on the rear of the vehicle, standard illuminated gearshift and grocery bag holder.
