Three flee into bushland after suspected stolen car crashed

Three people are on the loose after allegedly crashing a suspected stolen car in the Central Queensland countryside.

A rescue helicopter was led on a wild search across the Central Queensland countryside after three people who crashed a suspected stolen car fled into the bush.

The suspected stolen car crashed into another vehicle on the Fitzroy Developmental Road at 3.50pm on January 1.

A Queensland Ambulance Spokeswoman said they were called out to Coomoo, south of Duaringa, at 4.05pm.

Paramedics assessed one patient but they didn’t require medical assistance.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said one of the vehicles was allegedly stolen and the three people inside fled on foot into the bush.

RACQ Capricorn Rescue tried to locate them however were unsuccessful.

The QPS spokeswoman said the matter is still under investigation.

The suspected stolen car was located at the scene.
