Firefighters have contained a grassfire burning in Emerald, as crews respond to a car fire in Moranbah.
The initial report from Emerald indicated a house was under threat but a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson confirmed that was not the case.
He said a QFES crew remained on scene at the corner of Denison and Selma Roads, dampening down hotspots after the call came in at 2.50pm.
A rural fire crew also attended.
The spokesperson said fireys were on their way to a car fire on the corner of Goonyella Road and Thorpe Street in Moranbah.
