Less time to wait for Subaru BRZ buyers

SUBARU Australia has sourced an extra 140 BRZs and buyers expecting not to get their cars until late next year should see them early.

CUSTOMERS in line for the Suburu BRZ can look forward to early arrivals in 2013.

Subaru Australia has sourced an extra 140 cars and buyers expecting not to get their cars until late next year should see them early.

Those not expecting cars until November could see a two-month arrival improvement.

Subaru has managed to source extra production of its high-demand BRZ sports car to be built during February and March next year.

BRZ has been a runaway success since its July launch, selling exclusively online.

Subaru's initial allocation of 201 cars to the end of 2012 sold-out after just three hours of going "live" on the web.

Back orders were through to November 2013, but all customers who had estimated arrivals from May next year can expect an improvement in their car's delivery time. The bank orders were up to 750.

"We're delighted that Fuji Heavy Industries has recognised the enormous demand for BRZ in Australia and allocated additional production," Subaru Australia managing director Nick Senior said.

Prior to FHI's extra allocation, BRZ has a national drive-away price starting at $37,150, and includes a three-year/60,000 kilometre scheduled service plan and a five-star ANCAP occupant safety rating.
