Fire crews called to shed fire east of Alpha on Wednesday morning

Five fire crews have been called to the incident west of Emerald.

Five fire crews were called to a shed fire at a private property at Portwine Road, about 40km east of Alpha.

Five fire crews were called to a shed fire at a private property west of Emerald about 3am on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services attended the incident at Portwine Road, about 40km east of Alpha, which was well alight on arrival.

It was understood a vehicle in the shed caught fire which spread to the remainder of the 30x40m shed, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said.

Crews had the fire extinguished about 5.45am and left the scene about 6.30am.

No people were injured, although paramedics were on standby.
