A “busy” Clermont woman was caught driving without a licence in the rural Central Queensland town.
Kyle Katherine Schrader fronted Clermont Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August 11.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Paul Cramp said Schrader was stopped by police on July 25 on Tropic Street, with checks revealing her licence expired 26 days earlier.
“It was an oversight,” Schrader told the court.
“I’m a busy person and I didn’t see the renewal reminder.”
She pleaded guilty to driving without a licence.
Magistrate Robert Walker said it was clear Schrader was remorseful and had renewed her licence as soon as the expiration came to her attention.
She was convicted and not further punished.
