A Clermont teenager said she would never drink drive again after fronting Clermont Magistrates Court for the first time.
Amber Lee Davies, 19, pleaded guilty on Wednesday, August 11 to driving while over the general alcohol limit.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Paul Cramp said Davies, the holder of a provisional license, drank two rum and cola drinks on the evening of July 30 before getting behind the wheel early the next morning.
She was intercepted by police about 1.30am on July 31 at Daintree Street, Clermont, and returned a blood-alcohol content of .099, just below the middle alcohol limit.
Sergeant Cramp said she was suspended immediately until the court date.
Davies, who works on a cattle station, had no criminal or traffic history and hadn’t driven since the offence.
“This will never happen again,” she told the court.
Davies was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for three months. The conviction was recorded.
