Animal lovers across Central Queensland will soon have two new stores to shop at for their furry friends with Pets Domain opening shopfronts in Gracemere and Biloela.
The Australian bran, which first began in Tasmania when CEO Jason Van Peelen started selling live fish out of his garage, opens its first store in the region in Gracemere this Saturday, April 30, at the Gracemere Shopping World.
The Biloela store will open at the Biloela Shopping Centre on Saturday, May 21, as part of a twin opening with a store in Swan Hill, Victoria.
Pets Domain sells supplies for cats, birds, dogs, reptiles, small animals such as guinea pigs, fish, and livestock.
Pets Domain’s COO Matthew Fechner said the new stores would focus on becoming a part of the Central Queensland community and helping local shelters adopt out their animals.
“Servicing the needs of pet parents in regional Queensland is a focus as we continue to expand our network of bricks and mortar stores,” he said.
“We currently have stores in Queensland as far north as Atherton, west to Emerald and south to Yarrabilba.
“In these towns, Pets Domain has become part of the community.
“We support local animal shelters and hold regular adoption days.
“We look forward to becoming part of Gracemere and Biloela’s community and support any local animal shelters in the area.”
Each store will provide employment for six locals.
