A major highway has been closed in Central Queensland after a truck carrying produce caught alight on Tuesday night.
The Capricorn Highway, inland from Rockhampton, was closed around 7pm at Kalapa Black Mountain Rd after the B-double became fully involved in flames just after 6pm.
No serious injuries have been reported from the scene, with a Queensland Fire and Emergency spokeswoman revealing that the driver had been able to escape the cab of the truck before crews arrived.
The highway is expected to remain closed for a number of hours, although one lane was expected to reopen by 8pm.
