A WOMAN was bitten by a snake at a Gayndah home on Sunday.
Queensland Ambulance Service responded to the incident about 10am before transferring the woman to Gayndah Hospital.
She was in a stable condition.
On Friday, North Burnett Regional Council issued a notice urging people to snake-proof their homes, businesses and backyards, after a surge in snake sightings.
Dallarnil snake catcher Andrew Buckley urged people to contact a licensed snake catcher if they came across one, rather than taking matters into their own hands.
