Police are co-ordinating the search for the 78-year-old who last spoke to family via telephone at around 5.50pm on Saturday, October 9, from his property at Dallarnil, north east of Biggenden.

Police urge anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of William since October 9 to come forward, as he may have been picked up by a passer-by on the Isis Highway at Dallarnil.

William is described as caucasian and approximately 175cms tall with short, grey hair and green eyes. He has a medical condition and grave fears are now held for his safety and wellbeing.

Extensive aerial and land searches, involving police, SES, family, friends and the local community are ongoing, including people on horseback, in vehicles, on motorbikes and on foot, after family raised the alarm when they were unable to contact William on Sunday.

A Police Forward Command Post was last week established on Hetheringtons Road.

The property William is missing on is extensively covered by dense forest and bushland.
