IF you’re looking for something to do tonight for Origin, there is plenty happening in Gayndah for round two of the series.
Owner of the Burnett Hotel Nichole Scott said she has been working hard making homemade pizza bases for tonight.
“We’re just putting on some homemade food and watching the footy,” Ms Scott said.
“They’re really large pizzas and everything's made from scratch and they’ve been made today so hopefully everybody likes it.”
One of the flavours they will be making is chicken and avocado, along with Ms Scott’s “special” pizza pie.
“We’re doing a deep pan pizza pie so it's my own little creation I started back at my mums hotel, so it's a bolognese sauce in a deep pan pizza base with cheese over it and it's bloody awesome,” she said.
“So I’ve only got limited numbers just because everything is made from scratch.”
The Burnett Hotel will also have Ms Scott’s “epic” homemade Mac & Cheese for the kids or the big kids starting at $5.50 a serve.
Ms Scott is encouraging patrons to book in advance to avoid missing out.
Over at the Golden Orange Hotel, Denise McGilvery said they’re doing a Facebook competition where followers can comment how much they think their winning team will win by.
“If you guess correctly, you will win yourself a free pizza for round three,” Ms McGilvery said.
The Golden Orange will also have the game live on the big screen and are running a pizza deal.
“Tonight is two medium pizzas and a cheesy garlic bread with a 1.25L coke for $45,” she said.
