The voice behind Blinky Bill to help boost mental health

She was the voice behind the iconic cartoon koala Blinky Bill, so when Robyn Moore speaks at events across the North Burnett her voice may sound familiar.

BOOSTING HEALTH: Robyn Moore is a motivational speaker set to entertain the North Burnett during the Reconnecting Communities events.

SHE WAS the voice behind the iconic cartoon koala Blinky Bill, so when Robyn Moore speaks at events across the North Burnett next month her voice might sound familiar.

Almost 30 years on from her Blinky Bill debut, Moore is now a motivational speaker and she is set to entertain the region during the Reconnecting Communities events from March 1.

Reconnecting Communities aims to encourage and support residents to access mental health services, increase knowledge of the range of services available in the region and overcome the stigma associated with having a mental health issue.

"The events are a great opportunity to join your family, friends or work colleagues for a few hours of humorous, light hearted and 'extraordinary' entertainment, with lunch or dinner included," North Burnett Mayor Rachel Chambers said.

The events are funded through the Queensland Government's Tackling Regional Adversity through Integrated Care (TRAIC) Program and tickets will be subsidised to $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
