RESIDENTS in the agriculture sector will be able to throw issues into the spotlight next week when Special Envoy for Drought Assistance and Recovery Barnaby Joyce hits the region.
At a public forum held at Mundubbera on Tuesday, Joyce and Member for Flynn Ken O'Dowd will discuss agriculture in the North Burnett.
The Let's Talk Agriculture forum will also invite ag sector stakeholders to participate in a round table discussion about local issues.
BIEDO chief executive officer Kristy Frahm said everyone was welcome to come along.
"We encourage business and community members to discuss key issues facing agriculture in the North Burnett while Federal Government representatives, Mr Joyce and Mr O'Dowd are in the region," she said.
Last year the Prime Minister appointed Mr Joyce to listen to drought-affected communities and gain insight into the impact of conditions.
Mr Joyce advises the Prime Minister of proposals that might emerge from communities.
Coordinated by BIEDO, the forum will be held at Mundubbera Town Hall from 11am to 12pm.
Anyone interested in attending is asked to RSVP by 5pm Monday, March 25 by calling 0400 695 456 or emailing connect@biedo.org.au
