So how 'white' are these Neo Nazis really?

YOUR SAY: I READ with interest the article “Neo-Nazis target Toowoomba” (TC, 29/9), and the apparent surge of the white-supremacist presence.

Websters states that a white supremacist is "a person who believes that the white race is better than other races and should have control over all other races". White supremacist ideology states that "white people are genetically superior to other people".

And this is where it gets interesting. My question is: what constitutes "the white race"? For example, are the Irish "white"? DNA studies of the Irish people reveal that many have Spanish blood and North African blood due to the historic mingling of the Moors, Spanish and Irish peoples. Are they still "white"?

Similarly, the Germans; those with Prussian ancestry may have Eastern European DNA including Bosnian, Macadonian and Turkish. Are they still "white" under white supremacist theory? I doubt it.

Let's gather up these so called "white" supremacists and give them a DNA test. My guess is they would find they are not as "white" as they think they are.
