CASEY Donovan. Equals. Brilliant.
A perfect mix of sleaze, drama, evil and power - the former Australian Idol winner is truly the Killer Queen.
The absolute star of We Will Rock You, she belts out Fat Bottomed Girls, Another One Bites the Dust and, of course, Killer Queen with pizzazz and flair.
But Erin Clare, playing Scaramouche, is close behind - sending shivers down audience spines as she exorcises the rock chick within.
Jaz Flowers, playing Oz, can also scream a rock ballad like she was born in leathers in the '80s.
They all challenge traditional female roles and steal the show from lead male Gareth Keegan, playing Galileo.
Brian Mannix is the perfect comedic character - able to drop dad jokes and play the father figure of rock n' roll so well.
Thern Reynolds, as Brit, is a classic; adding a further Aussie flavour and laughs aplenty.
The cast's energy on stage is palpable, making it impossible not to bop along to Queen's greatest tunes.
But the show is more than the sum of Queen's best.
The GlobalSoft brand, run by the Killer Queen, frowns on live music and "anti-social" communication that doesn't involve a device.
The storyline enables the actors to have a fabulous crack at modern society.
Ben Elton's We Will Rock You is sprinkled with lines from myriad songs and has the audience chortling at every clever, albeit corny, delivery.
The incredible band delivers with finesse every step of the way, enticing the crowd to stamp their feet, clap their hands and head bang to their beats.
Musical theatre at its crowd-pleasing best, people will be lining up to see this twice.
We Will Rock You is now showing at QPAC's Lyric Theatre. Tickets range from $59.90 to $139.90.
