Peter James Dunn:
"At 19-years-old I was a 1953 national serviceman booked to go to Korea, but I broke my ankle and didn't go. I have four members of my family buried overseas and my wife, who has passed away, had three. I'm a lifer of the RSL, a slave to the rissole.”
Brian Nugent:
"It's a time when we pay respects for the guys who made the sacrifice to keep our country the way it is.”
Boyd Baker:
"Anzac Day is when we remember all of those who fought for the freedom we now enjoy here. It's not just about the landing in Gallipoli, it's for all wars, but we do it on Anzac Day because it's a special day. It was the first time the Australian troops went into action since they became a nation in their own right. "
