ERON Mitchell is leaving glamour in the dirt on her endeavour to raise funds for the 2019 Orange Festival Queen competition.

Her fundraiser is all about dirty, sweaty fun.

Sponsored by Gayndah Little Athletics, Mitchell will be accompanied by David Holleran Fitness in hosting a survivor bootcamp on March 2.

At Gayndah sports oval, teams of four will run, walk, crawl and think their way through obstacles.

"It's also mentally challenging,” Mr Holleran said.

"There will be sequences of numbers and letters to remember, running 200 metres then reciting them back.

"Then there will be an obstacle course with 20 odd obstacles - through water and over walls - and that will entail a lot of strategy and team work.”

The survivor bootcamp drew inspiration from obstacle races and the Mud Run which runs in Bundaberg.

"I thought it would be fun - something different that nobody has ever done before in Gayndah,” Mitchell said.

"Everyone loves them and everyone travels for them.”

Mr Holleran said while people may be intimated by the challenge, all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to join in.

"Come and have a go,” he said.

"Each exercise will only take about five minutes and you'll have a lot of recovery time.

"We even have a five-year-old coming down with their mum and dad.”

The event costs $100 per team, to be payed on the day.
