Biggenden alleged double murder charge back before court

The deaths of a baker and his young daughter was back before a Fraser Coast court on Tuesday, where a woman faces multiple charges of arson, and murder.

An alleged double murder case was briefly mentioned in Maryborough Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Kristen Leslie Olsen, 26, is charged with the murder of Todd Mooney and his daughter Kirra, and with torching a shed on their Fenwicks Rd property in Biggenden on December 20, 2022.

Her matter was mentioned in the Maryborough Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Along with the father and daughter’s deaths, Ms Olsen is charged with arson relating to the fire, and with three individual counts of arson and one count of stealing over an alleged incident on the same day.

No pleas have been entered and Ms Olsen remains remanded in custody.

The matter was adjourned for mention on August 19, 2024.
