NORTH Burnett's newest radio station has started issuing its first test broadcasts ahead of a planned start date of Easter Saturday.
Online station 4WB The River, the brainchild of Gayndah teacher Darryn Murphy, now has a website, and mobile applications for Android and iPhone are also on their way.
"4WB The River plays the best songs from our generation," the website states.
"Broadcasting Australia-wide from the oldest town in Queensland, Gayndah, 4WB aims to bring the best in news, views and the music that makes our region great."
Mr Murphy said the station's line-up of DJs was also starting to take shape.
Wife Michele Murphy will host a weekday breakfast show, while Mr Murphy will host Saturday breakfast and continue his Revolution Radio show which he previously delivered for community station Burnett River Radio.
Seraya Young will host The Mess Hall at 2pm on Saturdays, while Suanne Kirk will deliver Christian Super Sunday breakfast from 7am on Sundays.
