AS PART of North Burnett Regional Council's Works for Queensland program, a ping pong table is set to liven up Pioneer Park in front Mundubbera's library.
The program will also see street furniture installed in the main street of Mundubbera and Monto, and an irrigation system installed at Biggenden Sportsground.
Round 2 of the State Government's Works for Queensland program, to assist regional councils to help stimulate growth and improve minor infrastructure across regional Queensland, includes funding for the 'NBRC Enhanced Parks Maintenance' projects, and aims to enhance some of the regions parks and open spaces.
The projects are due for completion by the end of March 2019.
Pioneer Park, Mundubbera, in front of the Mundubbera Library (Including several parking spots in front of the facility) was closed to the public from yesterday through to Friday, December 14 whilst a slab for the POPP table is installed.
POPP is an acronym for public outdoor ping pong table and they create permanent, weatherproof tables for parks, campuses, residential developments and public spaces.
Council apologises for any inconvenience the works on the projects may cause.
