Isis Highway truck fire leaves man in his 20s injured and cattle roaming
The Isis Hwy near was shut for several hours this morning after a truck carrying cattle rolled and caught on fire.

A man in his 20s was taken to the Biggenden Hospital in the early hours of Tuesday morning after suffering a a head injury when the B-double he was driving rolled and caught fire on the Isis Hwy.
The cattle truck was driving along the highway about 1am when the driver reportedly swerved, causing the truck and trailers to flip onto their roofs.
Police are investigating what caused the driver to swerve.
Fireys services were called to the scene about 20 minutes later, with the truck which reportedly “full alight” on their arrival.
Emergency crews were forced to free the cattle from the flipped truck, with police controlling traffic while the injured cattle roamed the road.
The blaze was contained by fire services by 3am.
Police remained on scene to corral the cattle until shortly after 4.30am.
The driver of the truck was taken in a stable condition to the Biggenden Hospital, reported receiving stitches.
