THANKS to a Community Gambling Benefit Fund the Biggenden Lions Community Care purchase of a new vehicle has brought comfort for its clients.
Co-ordinator Leesa Sharps said it was wonderful news to receive $25,000 towards a new motor vehicle.
"The car now allows easier client transfers in out of the car,” she said.
"Plus it is more spacious.”
Mrs Sharps said the tinted windows made it cooler for clients on long trips to specialist appointments in Bundaberg and Gayndah denture clinic.
"We have already had positive comments from clients about the ease of transfers in and out of the vehicle,” she said.
"The car is highly visible around town with its fantastic sign writing.
"We hope this will help promote our community not-for profit service as well as the Lions Club.”
Mrs Sharps said it was hoped the national inquiry would help new clients access packages in a more timely manner creating better sustainability for the service.
"Our service has the capacity to service many more clients,” she said.
If interested in accessing a package then call into 21A Edward St, Biggenden or phone 0407769152.
