MUNDUBBERA Community Bank has asked locals to apply for their current round of grants through their Community Grants Program.

A branch of the Bendigo Bank and Gayndah and Taroom agencies, the business has contributed more than more than $20,000 to community events and projects in the last financial year and more than $500,000 since the Mundubbera branch opened in 2006.

"We are pleased to report that the company paid its first dividend this year and that is because of the support and growing business from the community over the years,” Chairman John Zahl said.

"Our bank is a full-service bank and returns money into our community with grants and sponsorships and employs local people to keep our community strong.”

This year the bank supported a third tertiary scholarship for a new student to study at university as well as supporting local show societies, school student bodies and others who grow the community through their Community Grants Program.

Groups interested in applying for grants through the Community Grants Program are invited to contact the branch or agency for an application form and submit it before November 15 2018.

The company celebrates its twelfth year in business with its annual general meeting in November, and looks forward to continuing to operate its branch and agencies long into the future.
