BOWLS: Gayndah players felt the turf between their toes on Friday when their barefoot bowls night saw "a wonderful response”.

Sixteen triples teams took to the green to compete.

"And had a fun night of bowls and frivolity,” club secretary Chris Prygoda said.

The competition will continue with the competition this Friday and for a further two weeks after that.

Barefoot bowls begins at 6.30pm for a sausage sizzle before bowls at 7pm.
