A man has been taken to hospital after the car he was in caught fire following a crash west of Bundaberg.

Paramedics were called to the Bruce Hwy in Kolonga about 7.50pm on Saturday, treating one patient who claimed he was not the one driving the car at the time of the crash.

However, authorities were unable to find anyone else at the scene and took the man in a stable condition to Bundaberg Hospital.

Meanwhile a crash in Hatton Vale on Saturday night affected both lanes of the Warrego Highway.

There were reportedly two vehicles involved, with at least two people being treated at the scene by paramedics, including a 49-year-old woman.

The woman was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition with chest pain, a man was taken to Ipswich Hospital with a wrist fracture.

A third person declined transport.
