Calls For Controversial Dog Collars To Be Banned 30 April 2022

Controversial dog collars – including ones with metal prongs that are designed to tighten around a dog’s neck when pressure is applied – could be banned in Queensland. 

It’s been revealed The State Government spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to house displaced flood victims in hotels as its Wellcamp quarantine facility sat largely empty. 

A former Gold Coast solicitor swindled over $12 million from loved ones and clients – including a friend of 41 years whose wedding he attended, and their elderly parents who lost almost $500,000. 

Changes to aviation safety regulations have made it lawful to carry pets in aircraft cabins but Australia’s major airlines are still deciding whether dogs and cats should be allowed out of the cargo hold.
