A blaze has extensively damaged a house in far north Queensland overnight.

FIRE has extensively damaged a Cairns house overnight.
The blaze broke out at a residence in Hyacinth Close, Edmonton, about 9.45pm.
Multiple crews attended, taking about half an hour to extinguish the fire.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire was unknown. Investigators will attend the scene on Wednesday morning.
